UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL MARK LODGE No. 1062

REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 28th APRIL 2014

The regular meeting of the University of Liverpool Mark Lodge was held on 28th April at the Liverpool Medical Institution, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool. The Brethren were treated to a Lecture given by W.Bro. D. Michael W. Davies BSc, PPrGSO of the Mark Province of North Wales and entitled ‘Some Thoughts on the Mark Degree’.

The WM, Bro Michael Collins LL.B (Hons) introduced W.Bro. Davies and welcomed him to this his first talk held in the Mark Province of West Lancs. He informed the Brethren that Michael Davies was well known in the Provinces of Cheshire and North Wales where he had presented many talks over several years and he was delighted to be able to invite him along to give this lecture during this, his year of office as WM.

Following the talk questions were invited and thankfully the Brethren showed their enthusiasm with gusto, proving that they had not gone asleep! The lecture was received with great acclamation by the 19 members and guests and the photo shows Mike Collins (left) congratulating Mike Davies (right).

The other highlight of the meeting was the news that W.Bro. John Ryan, The Lodge D.C., had been honoured with a Grand Lodge appointment to PAGDC at the Annual Investiture in June.

The Brethren then retired to the LMI Dining Room for a sumptuous Festive Board
